Here’s one of Daniel’s rough sketches of the title page from issue 6. That’s right, issue 6 is in production and on the way! We’ve also got some surprises this year but for that you’ll have to wait until May 1st.
Who is this baby and why is it in a cardboard box? No good will come of this.
We’ve got a few big things in the works for early next year. I know we don’t publish on a regular schedule but it really means a lot that you stick with us. We’ll keep telling this story, no matter what. Anyway, happy new year from all of us working on First Law of Mad Science!
Well, it’s all over and it was incredible. Mike and I had an amazing time at the 2014 New York Comic Con. We got to hang out with old friends and meet some really cool people. We also sold a ton of comics! It was a great experience and it really meant a lot to us. Thank you to everyone who came up, chatted with us, listened to our long winded pitch, and then picked up copies of First Law of Mad Science, Dead Classic, and FUBAR. We hope to see you next year with even more!
First off, here is my haul from the show. David Mack, Dave Crosland, and Juanjo Guarnido were highlights of the show. Their work is so gosh darn amazing.
Our booth which we split with the super talented Michael Bracco. We worked with Michael Bracco on Dead Classic, a collection of our collaboration from the FUBAR series.
Mike and I rarely get to walk the show floor together. Usually, one of us has to stay at the booth at all times. So this is a first. You can see how excited Mike is.
I assure you, he’s not always so startled by photographs.
My new friend.
Found these two. I think I win life. Thanks again to everyone who made the New York Comic Con such a special time for us. See you next year!
Oh and we’re printing it in color! I think I’ve said this before but can you tell that we’re pretty flipping excited. So much more First Law of Mad Science is on the way. More details soon.
We’ll have THREE NEW COMICS for NYCC in a few weeks: First Law #5, a First Law flashback issue, and a collection of the shorts the we’ve done with Michael Bracco for FUBAR. That’s over 60 pages of comics! Thanks to Daniel Lapham, Jamie Noguchi, Michael Bracco, Lonny Chant, and Jeff McComsey. #comics
We’ll be at the Baltimore Comic-Con this weekend and we’ll have a BCC EXCLUSIVE work-in-progress edition of First Law of Mad Science issue #5. Come by booth A306 in Artist Alley to get it. It has a variant cover by the amazing Michael Bracco. Oh and there’s only 100 numbered copies, so don’t wait until Sunday. Anyway, if you can’t tell, we’re pretty darn excited for the con!
Mike and I will be at Fantom Comics on August 23rd at 1pm to talk about creating indie comics. If you’re in town, come join us!
