Minor Updates for 10/17

Things are fairly quiet at First Law Of Mad Science headquarters at the moment.  Here’s a couple of minor updates with what’s going on:

  • Daniel is steadily turning in inks for issue #1.  Inking is currently 62% complete.
  • Oliver and I have both apparently succumbed to delayed-reaction comic convention plague.  He’s got the flu, and my laryngitis has turned into an excruciatingly painful dry cough.  Ack.
  • I have just returned to NYC from Austin, TX, where I attended the wedding of my college friend Rob.  Rob is an academic/professional expert in A.I. and computer interfaces, and has agreed to let me pick his brain (Mwahahahaha) for the comic and the blog here.  Expect to see some more random musings on these subjects, perhaps now with a few insights from someone who actually knows that they’re talking about :)
  • While issue #1 production rolls forward, we’re weighing our options regarding distribution channels and alternative business models.  Self-publishing is tricky stuff!  As a reader of this blog, are you at all interested in hearing about behind-the-scenes business-type stuff?  Or should we just keep it to updates about the comic and links to weird robots?

Do you want to read about self-publishing business stuff on this blog?
